The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has named Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as accused number 37 and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as accused number 38 in its latest charge sheet, alleging their involvement in a ₹100 crore kickback scandal. According to ED officials, Kejriwal’s purported direct involvement in the scandal stems from WhatsApp communications with Vinod Chauhan, a key accused in the case.

The revelation has sparked a political firestorm, with AAP vehemently denying any wrongdoing and dismissing the allegations as politically motivated. In response, Kejriwal has vowed to challenge the charges in court, asserting his innocence and claiming the accusations are aimed at tarnishing his reputation ahead of upcoming elections.

As the legal battle unfolds, the case is set to intensify scrutiny on political funding practices and the integrity of public officials, underscoring the complexities of governance and accountability in contemporary Indian politics.
