As summer arrives prematurely in Punjab and Haryana, residents are feeling the heat as mercury levels soar unexpectedly. The unseasonable rise in temperatures has caught many off guard, with the heatwave striking in the middle of March, intensifying across the region. Similar conditions prevail in several states across North India, signaling an early onset of summer.
However, relief may be on the horizon, as the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts rain and hail in various parts of the country in the coming days. The sudden change in weather patterns has already manifested in Punjab, Chandigarh, and Haryana, where moderate rain showered many areas on Friday morning. Thick clouds engulfed the skies overnight, heralding the shift in climatic conditions.
According to IMD predictions, Punjab is expected to experience rainfall on March 22 and 24, while Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh are slated for showers on March 24. This forecast offers a glimmer of hope for residents grappling with the early onslaught of scorching temperatures, providing much-needed respite from the sweltering heat. As the weather continues to fluctuate, locals are advised to stay informed and prepared for potential changes in conditions.
