The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain and thunderstorms for Delhi tomorrow evening and night. Residents can also expect foggy conditions during the morning hours in most areas.
Today, the capital enjoyed good sunshine, though fog lingered in the morning. The maximum temperature was recorded at 24 degrees Celsius, 3.7 degrees above the normal range. The minimum temperature stood at 10.6 degrees Celsius, 3.1 degrees above normal. Humidity levels ranged between 69 and 83 percent.
For tomorrow, the IMD predicts that the maximum and minimum temperatures will hover around 22 degrees Celsius and 11 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Meanwhile, Delhi’s air quality remains a concern. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in the city was recorded at 289, placing it in the “poor” category. Experts advise residents, especially those with respiratory conditions, to take precautions.
As rain is expected to bring some relief from pollution, Delhiites hope for improved air quality in the coming days. However, with fog and possible thunderstorms, commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly.
