Delhi Water Minister Atishi, who was on a hunger strike to protest the ongoing water crisis in the capital, was recently admitted to the hospital after his health worsened. Initially, he was kept in the ICU due to severe health concerns, but he was later moved to the general ward. Atishi was discharged from the hospital at 10:30 am yesterday.
Atishi’s hunger strike was part of a larger effort by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders to demand additional water supply from Haryana to address Delhi’s water shortage. The water crisis in Delhi has been a growing concern, impacting millions of residents who are struggling with inadequate water supply.
AAP leaders have been vocal about the need for immediate assistance from neighboring Haryana, urging the state to release more water to help alleviate the crisis. The party has been advocating for a cooperative approach to ensure that the residents of Delhi have access to sufficient water.
The hospitalization of Atishi has highlighted the severity of the issue and the lengths to which AAP leaders are willing to go to secure water for the city. The Delhi government continues to press for a resolution to the water crisis, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between states to address this critical need.
