Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal found himself in the spotlight once again as he was presented before Special Judge Kaveri Baweja today in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy case. The court, after hearing arguments from the Enforcement Directorate (ED), extended Kejriwal’s remand until April 1, acceding to the ED’s request citing the necessity for further interrogation.

During the proceedings, the ED emphasized the need for continued interrogation of Kejriwal, indicating ongoing investigations into the case. Kejriwal, for his part, reiterated his stance outside the court, denouncing the charges against him as a part of a larger political vendetta. He asserted his innocence, maintaining that he has been ensnared in a political conspiracy, and expressed confidence that the truth would ultimately prevail.

The extension of Kejriwal’s remand prolongs the legal battle surrounding the Excise Policy case, adding another layer of complexity to the already contentious matter. As the case unfolds, all eyes remain fixed on the developments within the courtroom, with implications that could reverberate across Delhi’s political landscape.
