In a major drug bust, Delhi Police and Gujarat Police have jointly seized 518 kg of cocaine from Ankleshwar, Gujarat. The estimated value of the drugs in the international market is Rs 5,000 crore. The operation took place at a pharmaceutical company on Sunday, where five individuals were arrested at the scene.
This seizure is part of a larger crackdown on drug trafficking, as 1,289 kg of cocaine and 40 kg of hydroponic Thailand marijuana, worth Rs 13,000 crore, have been confiscated in both Delhi and Gujarat within the last 15 days.
Investigating agencies are working to uncover the broader network involved in this large-scale drug operation. The massive quantity of drugs seized indicates a significant international drug trafficking racket.
This coordinated effort between Delhi Police and Gujarat Police highlights the importance of joint operations in tackling such illegal activities. The case is expected to lead to further arrests as investigations continue.
Authorities are committed to taking strong measures against drug trafficking in the country, and the recent bust marks a major victory in their efforts to curb the flow of narcotics in India.
