Senior Congress leader and MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira has taken a jab at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over its performance in the Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. Khaira shared his criticism on the social media platform ‘X’, stating that AAP seems to be struggling to defeat the “NOTA” (None of the Above) option in these two states.
In his tweet, Khaira wrote, “From the following trends it is seen that @AamAadmiParty is struggling to defeat ‘NOTA’ in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir!” He further added, “This is what happens when you misuse power to settle accounts with your opponents instead of running the government.”
Khaira went on to argue that the political winds in Punjab have dampened AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal’s prospects not only in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir but also in Delhi. The tweet was also directed at Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, reflecting the ongoing political tensions between Congress and AAP.
Khaira’s remarks highlight the rivalry between the two parties and suggest that AAP’s approach in governance may be affecting its political fortunes in multiple regions.
