Reacting to the Haryana Vidhan Sabha election results, the Congress party expressed disappointment, stating that the outcome did not reflect the expectations of the people. Congress leaders raised concerns over the counting process and the functioning of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in three districts, claiming irregularities. They announced plans to file a formal complaint with the Election Commission of India regarding these issues.

A Congress spokesperson emphasized that the party cannot accept the results as they currently stand, pointing out that the outcome contradicts the ground reality. Prior to the vote counting, exit polls had predicted a majority for Congress in the Haryana Assembly, raising hopes within the party for a victory. However, the final results saw the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerging stronger, defying the earlier predictions.

Congress has vowed to challenge the results, citing the discrepancies in vote counting and machine malfunctions as reasons for their dissatisfaction. The party’s leadership remains firm in their stance that the Election Commission must investigate these complaints to ensure fairness and transparency in the electoral process. The controversy over the election results is likely to escalate as Congress continues to seek clarification from the authorities.
