In a significant political development, the Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, expressed gratitude to the electorate following the recent assembly by-elections. Addressing the media, Kharge said, “We bow before the people for the positive result of the assembly by-elections. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts for voting for the Congress party candidates wherever they voted.”
Kharge took the opportunity to commend Congress workers for their dedication, saying, “We salute all the Congress workers for their hard work and efforts in adverse circumstances.” He highlighted the victory as a clear indicator of the public’s disapproval of the ruling party’s approach, stating, “This victory shows that the people have completely rejected the arrogance, misgovernance, and negative politics of the BJP.”
The Congress leader also took a pointed jab at the BJP leadership, noting, “This is also a strong proof of the falling political credibility of Modi-Shah ji.” The election results, according to Kharge, reflect a broader sentiment of dissatisfaction with the current government’s policies and governance.
This electoral success has boosted the morale of Congress supporters and underscores the party’s resurgence in various regions. The assembly by-elections, viewed as a bellwether for upcoming larger electoral contests, have set the stage for an intensified political battle between Congress and BJP in the near future.
