Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has been chosen to lead the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, while Digvijay Singh will head the Education Committee. Former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has been appointed to chair the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Agriculture. Additionally, MP Saptagiri Ulka will oversee the Rural Development Panel. These appointments have been made based on social considerations, reflecting Congress’s focus on balanced representation.
According to party sources, the Congress has forwarded the names of these four leaders for key committee roles. However, an official notification regarding these appointments has yet to be issued.
