The committee includes several key officials, such as the Additional Secretary of the Home Ministry, the Principal Secretary of the Home Department of the Delhi Government, the Special Commissioner of Delhi Police, the Fire Advisor, and a Joint Secretary from the Home Ministry, who will serve as the convener.

The tragic accident occurred on Saturday evening at the Rau’s IAS Coaching Center in Old Rajendra Nagar, where three IAS aspirants lost their lives. It is reported that over 30 students were studying in the library located in the basement when it suddenly flooded with water from a drain. Some students were unable to escape due to the sudden flooding.

Following the incident, the Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD) has been taking continuous action. Since yesterday, over a dozen coaching centers with basements have been sealed. The MCD has also carried out demolition activities at various locations, particularly targeting illegal constructions.
