In a heart-stopping incident, a bus carrying students from a private school in the village of Jindwadi was involved in a collision on the Sri Anandpur Sahib-Nangal main road. Despite the severity of the accident, the silver lining emerged as no lives were lost. However, some children sustained minor injuries and have been promptly admitted to the hospital for medical attention.
The mishap occurred as the fully-loaded school bus, transporting students back home after a school holiday, collided with an unidentified vehicle. The quick thinking and intelligence of the bus driver played a crucial role in averting a potential tragedy, ultimately saving the lives of the students on board.
As news of the accident broke, administrative teams swiftly arrived at the scene to initiate relief efforts. D.S.P. Ajay Singh Aalong with his police team, took control of the situation and coordinated the response. The school bus, bearing the brunt of the impact, suffered significant damage.
The aftermath of the incident resulted in a lengthy traffic jam on the Sri Anandpur Sahib-Nangal road. The police promptly intervened to manage the traffic and restore the flow smoothly. Meanwhile, the injured children were transported to the Civil Hospital Sri Anandpur Sahib in police vehicles and ambulances, ensuring they received timely medical attention.
