Special Director General of Police (Special DGP) Law and Order, Arpit Shukla, revealed that the strategic deployment aims to ensure free, fair, and peaceful elections. These forces will be stationed in sensitive districts, with a focus on mapping and securing areas prone to potential unrest. Shukla emphasized the commitment of Punjab Police, led by DGP Gaurav Yadav, to conduct elections with utmost integrity.

To foster public confidence and control sensitive regions, Special DGP Shukla urged all CPs/SSPs to monitor anti-social elements in their respective jurisdictions. Additionally, he instructed flag marches to reassure the common people. The proactive measures underscore Punjab’s dedication to conducting elections securely, reflecting a collaborative effort between state police and CAPF.
