The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is planning to conduct a narco test on Sanjay Roy, who was arrested in connection with the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. The investigating agency has approached the Sealdah court seeking permission to proceed with the test, an official revealed today.

The CBI believes the narco test will help determine whether Roy is telling the truth during the investigation. “The narco analysis test will assist in verifying his statements,” the official stated. Previously, the CBI conducted a polygraph test on Roy at the Presidency Reformatory, but further clarification is needed to cross-check his claims.

The narco test, a process where the subject is injected with drugs to lower their inhibitions and encourage truthful responses, is seen as a crucial step in the investigation. The CBI hopes this will provide more clarity on Roy’s involvement and motives in the horrific crime. The case has garnered widespread attention, and the CBI is under pressure to deliver justice swiftly.
