Campaigning for the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha elections ended on May 30 at 6 pm. In this important phase, voters will cast their votes in 57 constituencies of seven states and Union Territory of Chandigarh.
In this phase, elections will be contested in all 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab, four in Himachal Pradesh, 13 in Uttar Pradesh, eight in Bihar, six in Orissa and three in Jharkhand. Apart from this, it also includes the Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat. Political parties and candidates made last-ditch efforts to woo voters through rallies, road shows and door-to-door canvassing.
Security measures have been enhanced to ensure a smooth and fair voting process. The Election Commission has deployed additional forces in sensitive areas to prevent any incidents of disruption or violence.
With the campaign over, the focus now shifts to polling day. Voter turnout and performance in these 57 seats will be crucial to determine the overall outcome of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The counting of votes and the results are to be announced on June 4.
