In the Maharashtra assembly elections, the BJP is part of the Mahayuti (Grand Alliance), which also includes the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) led by Ajit Pawar. Together, the Mahayuti alliance has announced a total of 260 candidates across Maharashtra. Within the alliance, the BJP has named 146 candidates, while the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) has declared 65, and the NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) has introduced 49 candidates.

Alongside its efforts in the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha elections, the BJP has also announced its candidate for the Nanded Lok Sabha by-election. The by-election in Nanded is significant for the party, and the announcement underlines its strategy to strengthen its presence across Maharashtra, both at the assembly and parliamentary levels.

The BJP, alongside its Mahayuti partners, aims to leverage its candidate announcements to make a strong showing in the elections
