Joginder Singh Ugrahan, state president of Bharatiya Kisan Union Ugrahan, has announced to make the toll plazas of Punjab free on February 17 and 18, taking a bold step against the oppression of farmers. Punjab is focused on challenging the central government’s policies.
Talking to journalists, Joginder Singh Ugrahan expressed deep concern over the oppression of farmers, blaming the central government’s policies. He concluded that in view of the changing circumstances, a decision has been taken by his organization to postpone the Chandigarh Pakka Morcha. Instead, the joint program drawn up by the Joint Farmers’ Front will be vigorously implemented by the Bharatiya Kisan Union Ugrahan. Apart from this, prominent political figures including Sunil Jakhar, Captain Amarinder Singh, Kewal Singh Dhillon are facing dharna by Ugraha in front of their houses. The move is a symbol of growing discontent among farmers.
