Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices rose by 3.3%, while the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder, commonly used in hotels and restaurants, increased by Rs 62. This is the fourth consecutive monthly hike in commercial LPG cylinder prices.
In Delhi, the cost of jet fuel surged by Rs 2,941.50 per kiloliter, bringing it to Rs 90,538.72 per kiloliter. This rise impacts airlines directly, likely increasing operational costs and potentially affecting ticket prices.
Meanwhile, a commercial LPG cylinder now costs Rs 1,802, adding pressure on the hospitality sector, particularly restaurants and hotels that rely heavily on such fuel. Each monthly hike compounds expenses, potentially leading to higher prices for customers as businesses absorb these increased fuel costs.
With both ATF and LPG prices consistently climbing, industries reliant on these fuels face challenges in managing operating costs. The repeated increase also adds concerns for consumers, as higher operational costs may lead to increased prices for services such as dining and air travel.
