Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has vacated the government residence at 6, Flagstaff Road in Civil Lines and shifted to a bungalow in Lutyens Zone. The new residence, located at 5, Ferozshah Road, is owned by Ashok Mittal, a Rajya Sabha member from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) representing Punjab. On Friday, Kejriwal was seen leaving the Civil Lines residence with his wife and son in one car, while his parents and daughter followed in another car.

Kejriwal, the AAP leader, had resigned from his position as Delhi’s Chief Minister after being released from jail in connection with the Delhi Excise policy case. He stated that he would return to office only after gaining a “mandate of honesty from the people.” In the meantime, the party’s senior leader Atishi has been appointed as the new Chief Minister.

Ashok Mittal, the new homeowner, is a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha for AAP and has provided the accommodation for Kejriwal and his family in the Lutyens Zone, close to Mandi House. This move marks a shift for Kejriwal as he steps away from his official duties.
