On Thursday, AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal was assigned seat number 41 in the Delhi Vidhan Sabha, which is a few seats away from the Chief Minister’s designated seat. The Chief Minister’s seat, numbered 1, has now been given to Bibi Atishi. Additionally, Kejriwal’s close associate, Manish Sisodia, has been assigned seat number 40.

This development comes just days after Kejriwal was released on bail from Tihar Jail in the excise policy case. Following this, he resigned as Chief Minister but has expressed plans to return to the position after securing a “certificate of integrity” from the people of Delhi in the upcoming assembly elections, scheduled for February.

Kejriwal’s move is seen as a strategic step towards regaining public confidence and preparing for his political comeback. Both Kejriwal and Sisodia have played key roles in AAP’s governance and policies in Delhi, and their current positions in the Vidhan Sabha mark a significant moment as they aim to reclaim leadership in the state.
