In a brazen daylight robbery, armed men stormed the Punjab and Sindh Bank in Khanna, leaving the community in shock and terror. The incident took place recently when a group of armed individuals arrived on motorcycles and forcefully entered the bank.
Upon entering, the robbers held the bank staff and customers at gunpoint, creating a tense and frightening situation. Witnesses reported that the assailants swiftly looted lakhs of rupees from the bank’s vault and cash counters. During the heist, the robbers also disarmed the on-duty security guard, seizing his weapon and firing shots inside the bank to instill fear and prevent resistance.
The assailants discarded the security guard’s gun before fleeing the scene, leaving behind a trail of chaos and panic. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries among the hostages, but the psychological impact of the incident has left the local community in a state of distress.
The entire robbery was captured on the bank’s CCTV cameras, providing crucial evidence for the ongoing police investigation. Law enforcement agencies have launched an extensive manhunt to apprehend the culprits and ensure the safety of the residents.
