Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated that the BJP-led central government has achieved a 70% reduction in violence in Jammu and Kashmir, the North-East, and Naxal-affected regions over the last decade. Speaking at the 50th All India Police Science Conference at Rashtriya Raksha University, Shah called this a major achievement in improving national security.
He expressed optimism about the coming decade, predicting that India’s criminal justice system would become the fastest and most scientific in the world. Shah credited the government’s focused efforts in securing previously troubled regions, which were long considered hotspots of unrest.
Highlighting the recently introduced criminal laws, Shah mentioned that cases registered under the new system would ensure justice at the Supreme Court level within three years of an FIR. He emphasized the importance of these reforms in providing timely justice to the people.
Additionally, the Union Minister pointed out the government’s firm stance against drug trafficking, underscoring the significant steps taken to address this growing challenge. Shah reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring law and order, paving the way for a safer and more secure India in the coming years.
