Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a sharp attack on key opposition leaders during the BJP’s state convention. Shah criticized NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar, labeling him as the ringleader of corruption in the country and accusing him of institutionalizing corruption. This pointed criticism comes as the BJP gears up for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections.

Shah also took aim at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of arrogance despite his party’s defeat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Shah’s remarks highlighted the BJP’s continuing disapproval of Gandhi’s leadership and political strategies.

Furthermore, Shah targeted Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray, describing him as the head of the Aurangzeb fan club. He condemned Thackeray for allegedly aligning with individuals who appealed for mercy for Yakub Menon, a convict in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case.

In his speech, Shah expressed confidence that the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance would perform better in the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections than it did in 2014 and 2019. His remarks aimed to rally party members and supporters, emphasizing the BJP’s commitment to fighting corruption and ensuring robust leadership in Maharashtra.
