An Air India Express flight from Tiruchirappalli to Sharjah had to return to Trichy airport shortly after takeoff due to a technical issue. The flight, which departed at 5:30 pm, encountered a problem with its hydraulic system, forcing the pilot to land back for safety reasons.
Upon receiving the information, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin held an emergency meeting with officials. He instructed them to prioritize passenger safety and take all necessary precautions to prevent further issues. The Chief Minister assured that safety measures were being closely monitored to ensure the well-being of travelers.
Airport officials worked swiftly to address the problem and ensure a safe environment for passengers. The incident was managed without any major disruptions, and further checks are being conducted to resolve the hydraulic system issue.
Passengers onboard were provided with assistance, and the authorities are ensuring that alternative arrangements are made for the journey to Sharjah.
