The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has alleged that stones and bricks were thrown at the car of its national convener, Arvind Kejriwal. The incident reportedly occurred in his New Delhi constituency. AAP claimed that the attack was a conspiracy by the BJP, accusing the party of attempting to harm Kejriwal out of fear of losing the upcoming assembly elections.
AAP shared a video of the alleged attack on the social media platform X, stating, “BJP is so scared of its defeat that it is now resorting to violence to kill Kejriwal. Is this an attempt to punish him for the work done for the people of Delhi?”
However, the BJP rejected these allegations, offering a different version of the events. BJP leader Parvesh Verma claimed that Kejriwal’s car had hit two youths who were questioning him about the development of Delhi. Verma said, “In desperation over an impending defeat, Kejriwal has forgotten the value of people’s lives.”
This clash of narratives has sparked political tensions ahead of the elections. While AAP accuses the BJP of orchestrating the attack, the BJP accuses Kejriwal of avoiding accountability. Authorities are yet to release an official statement on the incident.
