In response to the arrest of Aam Aadmi Party’s national convener, Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP Punjab unit has announced a mass hunger strike across the state. Tomorrow, at 11 am, MLAs, ministers, and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will gather at Khatkar Kalan to protest Kejriwal’s arrest.
The hunger strike, scheduled for one day, aims to highlight what the AAP perceives as unjust treatment towards Kejriwal. MLA X confirmed the event via social media and emphasized that it will take place not only at Khatkar Kalan but also at district offices across Punjab.
The decision to stage the hunger strike underscores the AAP’s solidarity with its leader and its commitment to political activism against perceived injustices. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s participation further signals the party’s unity and resolve.
The AAP’s protest is expected to draw significant attention and support from its members and sympathizers, amplifying its message against what it views as political repression.
