Just before the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Team India, led by Rohit Sharma, has put up a dominant show against England. India cleanly swept the visitors 3-0 in the three-match ODI series played at home. The final match of the series took place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday (February 12), where India registered a massive 142-run victory.

Batting first, the Indian team set a challenging total, and their bowlers delivered a strong performance to seal a comfortable win. Earlier, India had won the first and second ODIs by four wickets each, showcasing their all-round strength.

This series victory is significant as India has cleanly swept England in a bilateral ODI series after 13 years. The last time this happened was in October 2011 when India defeated England 5-0 in a five-match ODI series at home. Interestingly, on that occasion as well, the England team had toured India, and the result was a complete whitewash.

This dominant performance will boost Team India’s confidence ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025. With key players in great form and the team displaying excellent coordination, India looks well-prepared for the upcoming tournament. The clean sweep against a strong team like England will surely send a strong message to other teams competing in the ICC event.

Now, all eyes will be on the Champions Trophy, where India will aim to continue their winning momentum and fight for the prestigious title.
