He stressed the need for international cooperation to uphold shared values, manage risks, and build trust in AI systems. “A collective global effort is needed to uphold our shared values, address risks, and establish good governance and standards that build trust,” he said.

Modi described AI as a revolutionary force shaping the future of humanity. He noted concerns about job losses due to AI but reassured that history shows technology does not eliminate jobs; instead, it changes their nature and creates new opportunities. “We need to invest in upskilling and reskilling our people for an AI-driven future,” he added.

The Prime Minister highlighted India’s commitment to responsible AI development, ensuring it benefits all sections of society. He also emphasized the importance of ethical AI use, stating that humanity must remain at the center of AI advancements.

The AI Action Summit saw global leaders discussing AI governance, its impact on the workforce, and strategies for international collaboration. Modi’s remarks reflect India’s stance on AI as a tool for growth, innovation, and inclusive development, while also addressing the challenges it brings.

With AI playing a growing role in daily life, Modi’s call for global cooperation highlights the need for responsible AI policies that balance technological progress with ethical considerations and societal well-being.
