The agreement aims to improve cooperation between the two nations in investigating cyber threats and criminal activities online. It will also enhance the capacity of relevant agencies to use cyber threat intelligence and digital forensics effectively.

The Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, will be responsible for implementing this agreement on behalf of India. This collaboration is expected to facilitate knowledge-sharing, joint training programs, and better coordination in handling cybercrime cases.

The MoU reflects the growing partnership between India and the US in addressing global cybersecurity challenges. With the increasing reliance on digital platforms, this initiative is seen as a crucial step towards ensuring a safer cyberspace for both nations.

Officials believe this agreement will significantly strengthen the ability of law enforcement agencies to counter cybercrime and promote a secure digital ecosystem.
