This year’s Mahakumbh holds special significance as planetary changes are occurring after 144 years, enhancing its spiritual importance. The mela was inaugurated with conch shells, bhajans, and chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram,’ ‘Har Har Mahadev,’ and ‘Jai Ganga Maya,’ filling the air with devotion.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the occasion, called the event a celebration of India’s eternal spiritual heritage and a proud moment for those who cherish Indian values and culture. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the unity of faith and harmony that the Mahakumbh represents.

Devotees from across India gathered at various ghats in Prayagraj, with 13 akharas of saints participating in the festivities. Kailash Narayan Shukla, a pilgrim from Himachal Pradesh, praised the arrangements, noting that pilgrims faced no difficulties during their sacred bath.

The Mahakumbh showcases a confluence of cultures, faith, and traditions, making it a testament to India’s rich spiritual legacy. It is not just a religious gathering but also a celebration of unity and harmony among millions of people.
