A tragic accident occurred when a private bus carrying soldiers from the Bihar Special Armed Police (E Company of the 18th Battalion) plunged into a roadside ravine, injuring 29 personnel. The incident took place around midnight on Tuesday as the bus was heading toward Siwan, Bihar. The officers were on their way to ensure peace and security during the Diwali and Chhath festivals.
Following the accident, 10 injured personnel were admitted to the district hospital for treatment, while others received medical care at a health center in Sonbarsa. Senior officials, including Superintendent of Police Vikrant Veer, visited the hospital to check on the health and recovery of the injured jawans.
The accident highlights the risks faced by police personnel as they work to maintain public safety during major festivals. Local authorities are monitoring the situation closely, and efforts are underway to ensure the personnel receive the necessary medical attention.
