An explosion on a train near Rohtak, Haryana, caused a fire that led to minor injuries for a few passengers. The incident occurred last evening when a passenger’s firecrackers ignited, sparking a fire in the train. The train was traveling from Jind to Delhi, passing through Sampla and Bahadurgarh.
Authorities initially suggested that the firecrackers were not intentionally set off; instead, they believe an electrical short circuit may have triggered the explosion. According to a Government Railway Police (GRP) official, a fire broke out in one of the train’s compartments, possibly due to a malfunctioning electrical device that ignited the passenger’s firecrackers.
Police reports indicate that two to three passengers sustained minor injuries in the accident. Emergency responders acted swiftly to contain the fire and ensure the passengers’ safety. The police have initiated an investigation into the exact cause of the fire, working to determine if electrical issues within the train were responsible or if other factors contributed to the incident. Further details are expected as the inquiry progresses.
