Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah visited the home of Dr. Shahnawaz Dar, who was killed in a terrorist attack on Sunday in Ganderbal. Abdullah went to Naidgam village in Budgam district to meet the family of the deceased and offer his condolences. He was accompanied by his advisor, Nasir Aslam Wani.
Meanwhile, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti urged Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to prevent the migration of non-local workers from the Gagangir construction site, following the recent attacks.
In a related incident, Shashi Abrol, a resident of Jammu, who was also killed in the same terrorist attack, was cremated today at the Shaktinagar crematorium. The attack has caused widespread grief, and security measures are being reassessed to protect citizens from such incidents in the future.
