The Delhi court today extended the interim bail of Jammu and Kashmir MP Sheikh Abdul Rashid, also known as Engineer Rashid, until October 28. Additional Sessions Judge Chandrajit Singh issued the order, citing concerns regarding Rashid’s father’s health as the basis for the extension.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) informed the court that it had verified the relevant documents and did not oppose the application for interim bail. Consequently, the judge has postponed the decision on Rashid’s regular bail petition in this case until the same date, October 28.
During the proceedings, Rashid’s lawyer informed the court that this would be the final request for an extension of interim bail. The ongoing legal proceedings have garnered attention, as Rashid’s case involves significant political implications in Jammu and Kashmir. The court’s decision reflects a consideration of both the personal circumstances of the accused and the procedural aspects of the case.
