According to a letter written by Lieutenant Governor Sinha, the swearing-in ceremony will be held on October 16 at 11:30 am at the Sher-e-Kashmir Convention Center in Srinagar. The move represents a step towards restoring democratic governance in Jammu and Kashmir, a region that was reorganized into a Union Territory in 2019.

Omar Abdullah shared the news on social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), expressing that he received the official invitation to form the government from the Principal Secretary of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. The event is being seen as a crucial moment in Jammu and Kashmir’s political landscape, signaling the return of local governance after years of direct central control.
