The Defense Minister’s speech was delivered digitally during the first leg of this year’s second Army Commanders’ Summit, held in a border area in Gangtok, Sikkim. He reminded the commanders that maintaining readiness for conflict must be a continuous priority, ensuring the country is always capable of responding effectively whenever needed. The conference highlighted the critical role the Army plays in safeguarding national security, particularly in sensitive regions like Eastern Ladakh, where tensions have remained high.
