Helicopter Crash in Pune Kills Three, Including Two Pilots and an Engineer

A helicopter crashed in Maharashtra’s Pune district on Wednesday morning, killing two pilots and an engineer. The helicopter, owned by Delhi-based Heritage Aviation, was flying from Oxford County Golf Course to Juhu in Mumbai when it crashed around 7:40 am in the hilly Bavadhan area. The aircraft caught fire immediately after the crash.

Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Vijay Kumar Choubey confirmed the deaths and mentioned that police and fire department teams were quickly dispatched to the crash site. Fire tenders were deployed due to the intense blaze that followed the accident.

The deceased have been identified as Girish Kumar, Pritam Singh Bhardwaj, and Paramjit Singh, according to Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Fire Officer Anil Dimle. The exact cause of the crash is not yet known and will be determined following a thorough investigation.

The crash occurred in a challenging, hilly terrain, making rescue operations difficult. Authorities are currently working to secure the area and gather evidence to understand the factors leading to the tragedy.
