BJP Chief JP Nadda today urged Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to clear the pending dues of private hospitals in the state to ensure beneficiaries of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana can access free healthcare services. Nadda highlighted that many private hospitals have stopped providing cashless treatment to Ayushman Bharat cardholders due to the state government’s unpaid arrears.

Taking a jab at Bhagwant Mann, Nadda advised the Punjab CM to focus on the state’s issues rather than appeasing the Delhi unit of the Aam Aadmi Party. On X (formerly Twitter), Nadda appealed to Mann to settle the dues quickly, emphasizing that many families, particularly hardworking farmers, rely on the Ayushman Bharat scheme for healthcare.

He further criticized the Mann government for failing to fulfill its election promises of building more clinics and health centers, accusing it of neglecting the needs of the poor. Nadda questioned why the Punjab government has not yet paid the hospitals, stressing the importance of addressing this issue promptly.

In the same statement, Nadda also announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be launching the U-Win online vaccine management portal in October, which aims to streamline vaccine access across the country.
