BJP president JP Nadda labeled Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, as a “failed product” in politics. He added that Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge is compelled to promote him. Nadda’s remarks came in response to Kharge’s letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where Kharge urged action against leaders making objectionable statements about Rahul Gandhi.
In a three-page letter, Nadda pointed out that several Congress leaders have made shameful statements against the Prime Minister and dismissed Kharge’s letter as far from reality. Meanwhile, Congress leaders criticized Prime Minister Modi for not condemning these attacks on Rahul Gandhi. Congress spokesperson Jairam Ramesh, in a letter to Nadda, stated that the nation is watching how the BJP’s actions are endangering the life of the opposition leader. Congress called on the Prime Minister to rise above petty politics and take a stand against divisive comments from ruling alliance leaders targeting Rahul Gandhi.
