In a related protest, students from Manipur University organized a rally and burned an effigy of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, expressing their dissatisfaction with the central government’s handling of the situation. To manage the unrest, internet services have been suspended across the state for five days.

Amid these developments, Chief Minister N Biren Singh convened a meeting with leaders from student organizations to address their concerns and discuss potential solutions. The state is facing a period of heightened unrest and scrutiny, with both local and national officials working to navigate the complex political and social issues at hand.
