The Punjab Government has appointed Advocate Dr. Punjab Singh as the new Chief of the Punjab State Information Commission. Alongside this, Bhupinder Singh Bath, Sandeep Singh Dhaliwal, and Varinderjit Singh Billing have been appointed as State Information Commissioners. These appointments have been approved by the Governor of Punjab.
The tenure for these newly appointed officials will be three years. Their roles will be crucial in ensuring transparency and effective communication within the state’s information system. This move is expected to strengthen the functioning of the Punjab State Information Commission and enhance its ability to address public grievances and maintain the flow of information to citizens.
