On July 26, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the Kargil War Memorial to pay tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the Kargil War. This visit is part of the commemoration of Kargil Vijay Diwas, honoring the bravery and valor of Indian soldiers.
Additionally, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the Shinkun La Tunnel project. The tunnel, located at a height of 15,800 feet, is a significant infrastructure development aimed at maintaining all-weather connectivity with Leh. This project is expected to enhance transportation and logistical support in the region, ensuring year-round access despite harsh weather conditions. The Shinkun La Tunnel is a critical step towards improving infrastructure in the Himalayan region, reflecting the government’s commitment to the development and security of border areas.
