In a significant breakthrough, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has detained two individuals in Patna in connection with the NEET UG paper leak case. The accused, whose identities have not yet been disclosed, are alleged to have provided safe accommodation for candidates and distributed examination papers to them.
According to sources, the duo had booked a school in Patna for the night preceding the NEET UG exam. At this location, answers were allegedly given to 25 candidates. The CBI’s investigation revealed that the suspects had arranged this setup to ensure that the candidates received answers just before the exam.
During the raid, the CBI also recovered pieces of burnt books, which are now under forensic examination. These remnants are believed to contain crucial evidence pertaining to the leaked papers. The CBI is meticulously analyzing the recovered materials to trace the origins and extent of the leak.
This operation is part of a broader investigation into malpractices associated with the NEET UG examination. The paper leak has raised serious concerns about the integrity of the examination process, which is a gateway for aspiring medical students across the country.
The CBI’s swift action in detaining these individuals underscores the agency’s commitment to maintaining the sanctity of competitive examinations in India. Further arrests and developments are expected as the investigation progresses.
