In a devastating turn of events near the village of Rada in Tilhar, Uttar Pradesh, six migrant families, who had relocated to the area for vegetable cultivation, were tragically consumed by a fire. The blaze, whose cause remains unknown, erupted around 1 pm, swiftly engulfing over 10 wooden and thatch shacks where the families resided.
Despite valiant efforts from the victims and surrounding residents, the fire raged uncontrollably, resulting in the loss of goods and cash worth lakhs of rupees. By the time the fire brigade arrived after delayed notification, the damage had already been done, leaving behind a scene of utter devastation.
The affected families, grappling with the aftermath of the tragedy, have appealed to the government for compensation to rebuild their lives. This heart-wrenching incident serves as a stark reminder of the vulnerability faced by migrant communities and underscores the urgent need for enhanced safety measures and support systems to prevent such calamities in the future.
