In a scathing attack on Punjab Congress, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Punjab Finance Minister, Harpal Singh Cheema, has accused senior Congress leader Pratap Singh Bajwa of aligning with the BJP, dubbing him as “Pratap Singh BJP.” Cheema alleged that Bajwa’s actions within the Congress reflect those of a BJP agent, aimed at undermining the party’s integrity and strength.

Cheema emphasized the growing similarities between Congress and BJP, claiming that Bajwa’s alleged betrayal exemplifies the erosion of Congress values. He cited the defection of key Congress figures to the BJP, including former Punjab President Sunil Jakhar and ex-Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, as evidence of the party’s internal crisis.

Highlighting AAP’s commitment to grassroots politics, Cheema lauded the party’s efforts in championing the cause of the common people. He reiterated AAP’s stance against the alleged dictatorship of the BJP-led government at the center, citing the imprisonment of AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal as a testament to BJP’s fear of dissenting voices.

Cheema urged the Congress leadership to take decisive action against Bajwa and other alleged BJP sympathizers within the party ranks. He attributed the recent flurry of accusations from Punjab Congress leaders to the party’s lack of unity and dwindling public trust.

As the political landscape in Punjab continues to evolve, Cheema’s remarks underscore the intensifying rivalry between AAP and Congress, with the former positioning itself as the alternative to the traditional political establishment plagued by internal strife and external allegiances.
