Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav pledged to waive farmers’ loans if the ‘India’ coalition comes to power, contrasting it with the ruling party’s alleged favoritism towards capitalists. Accusing the BJP of neglecting farmers’ welfare, Yadav emphasized the need for fair crop prices and criticized industrialists for manipulating market rates.

Addressing a rally, Yadav criticized the BJP government’s agricultural laws, attributing farmers’ continued struggles to insufficient crop prices and corporate control over pricing. He also condemned the quality of free rations provided to the poor, alleging that the government supplies inferior food items.

Yadav seized the opportunity to attack the BJP on various fronts, including the issue of paper leaks in Uttar Pradesh exams, which he attributed to the ruling party’s “double-engine” government. He accused the BJP of deliberately leaking exam papers to deprive youth of job opportunities, urging them to consider the impact of such actions on their future.

Highlighting concerns about national security, Yadav criticized the BJP’s ‘Agnipath’ scheme, claiming it jeopardizes the country’s security. He appealed to the youth to support the ‘India’ alliance to restore the previous army recruitment system.

In a warning to police personnel, Yadav cautioned that their job security could be at risk if the BJP remains in power, implying potential job cuts. He also criticized the electoral bond system, labeling it as coercion rather than charity.

Yadav’s remarks underscore the intensifying political rhetoric ahead of elections, with parties positioning themselves on key issues such as agriculture, youth employment, and national security. As the electoral landscape heats up, such statements serve to galvanize party supporters and shape public opinion.
