Voting is underway in the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections, spanning across 88 seats in 13 states. Today, voters will play a crucial role in determining the fate of 1206 candidates vying for representation in the lower house of Parliament. Citizens have begun flocking to polling booths since early morning, displaying a remarkable enthusiasm for exercising their democratic right.

Among the voters is Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who arrived at the polling booth accompanied by her father, a resident of Bengaluru’s B.E.S. Their presence underscores the importance of active participation in the electoral process.

However, it is noteworthy that the election schedule saw a minor adjustment following the unfortunate demise of the BSP candidate in the Betul seat of Madhya Pradesh. Consequently, voting in this constituency was postponed to the third phase, reducing the total number of seats contested in the second phase to 88.

Despite this alteration, voter enthusiasm remains high, reflecting a deep-seated commitment to democracy and the electoral process. As citizens cast their ballots today, they are actively shaping the future direction of their constituencies and the nation at large.

As the electoral process unfolds, the nation awaits the outcome of these elections, eager to witness the collective voice of its citizens shaping the course of governance.
