Dimple Yadav, the wife of Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav and SP candidate from Mainpuri Lok Sabha constituency, urged the youth to take responsibility for ousting the current BJP government. Speaking at a campaign event, she emphasized the pivotal role of young voters in bringing about political change, asserting that the removal of the BJP government at the center would pave the way for its removal in Uttar Pradesh as well.
While refraining from direct naming, Yadav appealed to the electorate, describing them as part of the SP’s extended family. She suggested that those outside the party’s familial embrace might struggle to grasp the emotional connection shared by its members.
Yadav’s remarks reflect the SP’s strategy to mobilize support among young voters, positioning them as agents of change in the political landscape. As the Lok Sabha elections unfold, parties intensify their efforts to galvanize various demographic groups, leveraging emotive appeals and promises of transformative governance to secure electoral victory.
