In a distressing discovery, the lifeless body of a woman was found near the canal in the outskirts of Nizamdin Wala village, falling under the jurisdiction of Zira’s sub-division. The incident has sent shockwaves throughout the region, with the victim yet to be identified. Authorities have taken the body to Zira’s crematorium mortuary for a 72-hour holding period to facilitate identification.
Addressing the press, the Deputy Superintendent of Police for Zira revealed that the deceased exhibited signs of foul play, notably with marks around her neck consistent with strangulation. A six-pointed needle found near the crime scene suggests a potential weapon used in the heinous act. Despite ongoing investigations, the victim’s identity remains a mystery.
The DSP Zira assured the public that law enforcement has initiated a case against unidentified perpetrators, vowing to pursue the investigation rigorously.
