A case has been filed at Dehlon police station regarding the alleged occupation of property belonging to an N.R.I. resident by neighbors. The complainant, a resident of Mahima village in Dehlon, had been living abroad with his family for several years. Upon returning in 2016, he discovered that his neighbor had deceitfully taken possession of his property under the guise of maintenance.
The complainant entrusted his property’s upkeep to the neighbor before departing overseas. However, upon his return, he found that not only had the accused occupied the property but had also damaged it by breaking a wall and stealing bricks.
The aggrieved party promptly reported the incident to the police, leading to the registration of an N.R.I.A case. The case highlights the vulnerability of absentee property owners and the need for vigilant property management measures, especially in their absence. Investigations are underway to resolve the dispute and ensure justice for the complainant.
